This month AIG headed south to join NT Business Events on their tour to Canberra, Melbourne and Sydney. NT Business Events is a business unit with NTGs Department of Industry Tourism and Trade and has extensive networks of local suppliers.
The tour was an excellent opportunity for AIG to tap into tens of thousands of their contacts across Australia, NZ and Asia, offering networking opportunities that were too good to miss. Liz our CEO met with 30 association delegates from medicine, health, research and manufacturing and supply chain.
“I spoke in detail about our Remote Laundry project and our Business Support Services to demonstrate two ways AIG provides immediate and direct benefit for Aboriginal people in the seven northern regions of the NT.
“I was thrilled to attend these meetings, not only to promote Darwin as the most incredible city to host a national conference and event, but also to speak to the uniqueness of Darwin, the connection to country and the amazing people you meet up here who work to improve the lives of our First Nations people.”
Networking and relationships are important for AIG
Being a part of the tour meant AIG could capture the attention of key people in medicine, health, research and manufacturing and supply chain. Being able to build an awareness of what AIG is, and the way we do business is really important.
We are a courageous and innovative organisation and finding likeminded organisations with similar values is strategically beneficial not only for AIG, but also for businesses that want to contribute to building stronger communities in the NT.
“It’s important the business sector understands we can’t do this alone, and we need to partner with key players to strengthen our delivery and broaden our reach. The tour was an important opportunity to describe why AIG is best placed to deliver new solutions to old problems for Aboriginal people in the NT. I’m very grateful to NT Business Events for including AIG in this tour.”
