In early September 2025, we had the privilege of partnering with Melbourne-based film company The Jasper Picture Company to tell a different side of the Remote Laundries story.
While data and statistics help us understand impact, they can never fully capture the quiet moments, the relationships, the laughter, and the everyday experiences that sit at the heart of our work. Together, we travelled to Gunbalanya for a three-day filming trip to document these stories and the impact that access to free laundry services has on health, wellbeing and dignity.
What was brought to light, was more than a promotional film. It became a reflection of community, connection and trust.
The resulting 15-minute documentary beautifully captures the landscape, the strength and generosity of the people of Gunbalanya, and the importance of community-led solutions that are built on relationships and respect.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who welcomed us, shared their stories, and trusted us to help tell them.
