Last night, ABC reporter James Elton highlighted the health, social and economic impact our Remote Laundries project is making on the Barunga community in the Top End of the Northern Territory.
The Barunga community celebrated a simple, life-changing solution to improve health and wellbeing in their community, with the Bagala Laundry turning five yesterday.
We are excited to have secured another three years of funding for the Bagala Remote Community Bus. The nine-seater bus travels five days a week between Barunga and Beswick and Katherine and was designed to provide residents of Barunga and Beswick with an affordable way to travel.
