Mobility project

Born out of a need for robust wheelchairs in community, the Mobility Project has distributed 100 wheelchairs throughout the northern regions of the NT.

Project overview:

Wheelchairs are absolutely necessary in health centres throughout the NT, but Aboriginal communities are often not well set up for wheelchair access making it harder to get around. Prompted by the AIG Board, the Mobility Project sources wheelchair that can perform in rougher conditions.
